A pararescue team from the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing in Westhampton will be part of Air Force Week, which will feature flyovers at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field by Thunderbirds F-16 D Falcon jet fighters in metro-area shows Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

The pararescue team will perform an open-water rescue demonstration in the Hudson River at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday, deploying from two HH-60 helicopters, the Air Force said in a statement.

The demonstration will be part of a series of daily flyovers and demonstrations by the Air Force Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, as well as a flyover by an F-22 Raptor jet Tuesday at 7 p.m. to start the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball game in Coney Island.

The Thunderbirds are scheduled to do a flyover before the Yankees-Boston Red Sox game Saturday at 4:05 p.m.

The Thunderbirds also will do a flyover before the Mets-Colorado Rockies game at Citi Field at 7:10 p.m. Monday.

Opening ceremonies will be over the Hudson near the USS Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum at about 1 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

The flyover will be one pass, from south to north.
