Suffolk County police are investigating an armed robbery that took place just before midnight Sunday.

Two men, one displaying a handgun, robbed a Medford convenience store, Suffolk County police said. 

At around 11:38 p.m. the men entered the 24/7 Convenience Store at  2222 Route 112, with one striking the counter clerk and demanding cash, police said.

After the clerk complied, the two men ran off, police said.

The clerk was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
