Earlier this month, Newsday reporters Tara Conry and Amy Onorato raced across Long Island, trying some of the best area bagels along the way.

With so many different options -- they hit 31 shops in all -- it was hard to pick a favorite. So now, we're turning to you, Long Islanders, to cast your votes.

Scroll through bagel stores and choose your favorites, with voting going through noon Dec. 29. After that, we'll crown two winners: one North Shore champion, one South Shore.

You're allowed to vote once per shop per day, so check back at newsday.com/bestlibagel to see how your picks are doing. Good luck, and may the best bagels win!
