Body of woman found in Bay Shore identified

Suffolk police Sunday identified the female body found in a Bay Shore parking lot on Friday as Saundra Simonee, of East Norwich.

Simonee, 59, of 14 Whitney Ave., was found dead about 9:15 p.m. Friday in a rear parking lot at The Birches apartment complex, 91 S. Clinton Ave.

An autopsy was still being performed, police said Sunday, so they could not say how she died. No arrests have been made.

Attempts to reach Simonee's family Sunday were unsuccessful.
