A man walking on Route 110 in North Amityville late Thursday was hit by a car, Suffolk County police said.

The man, 46, of Hauppauge, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, a police spokeswoman said early Friday.

Police said the man was walking south on Route 110 near Brefni Street at about 10:49 p.m. when he was hit by a 2010 Nissan.

Police said the car struck the pedestrian “who was in the roadway.”

No charges are pending against the driver, 51, of Ronkonkoma.
