John Jay LaValle leases Porsche for Suffolk GOP business

Suffolk Republican Chairman John Jay LaValle, who stumped last year for Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again” presidential campaign, is leasing a Porsche for party business.

The GOP executive committee last week renewed authority for LaValle to spent $625 a month for a lease and related expenses for the German-made car.

Several party sources say LaValle is leasing a Porsche Cayenne, a sport utility vehicle. Previously he had a leased Ford Edge.

“The choice of car was his call,” said one party official who declined to be identified. LaValle did not return calls for comment.

“I guess John has decided to make Germany great again,” said Richard Schaffer, Suffolk Democratic chairman.
