Democrats pick Matthew Malin for 17th Assembly District race
Nassau Democrats have named Matthew Malin of Seaford to run in the April 24 special election for the vacant Assembly district seat left by Republican Thomas McKevitt when he came a Nassau County legislator on Jan. 1.
Malin, 25, works at the county Board of Elections. He also will run on the Working Families and Women’s Equality ballot lines for the race. The candidate could not immediately reached for comment.
Malin is running against Republican John K. Mikulin, 29, a deputy Hempstead Town attorney.
