Tina Ramos, daughter of Assemb. Phil Ramos (D-Brentwood), has left her $138,866 a year job at the Suffolk Board of Elections before her $92,000 a year demotion as assistant elections clerk could take effect.

County records show she resigned Feb. 15. By leaving before March 1, when the demotion would have taken place, Ramos will be able to collect deferred pay at the higher rate for Hispanic outreach coordinator rather than for the $45,994 salary for assistant election clerk.

Records show she is owed $3,815 in deferred pay.
