Cops: Ambulance involved in crash in Franklin Square

A Nassau County police ambulance was involved in a crash early Wednesday in Franklin Square, police said.

A department spokeswoman said the ambulance was near a Friendly's restaurant at 552 Franklin Ave. at about 2:08 p.m. when the accident occurred.

"At least one car and possibly two," the spokeswoman said of the accident.

She also said there were injuries but had no details.
