Cops: Man sold counterfeit DVDs in Hicksville
A Queens man was arrested Sunday for selling counterfeit DVDs in Hicksville, Nassau police said.
Officers were dispatched to a McDonald's at 280 N. Broadway after getting a complaint about a man soliciting customers to buy DVDs, police said. At the location, police arrested Linguang Wang, 51, of College Point, who they say had 180 counterfeit DVDs and 32 pirated CDs.
An additional 21 counterfeit DVDs were later recovered from Wang's vehicle, police said.
Wang is charged with felony trademark counterfeiting and failure to disclose the origin of a recording, a misdemeanor. He will be arraigned Monday in First District Court, Hempstead.
