Cops: Multiple Sunday crashes in Levittown under investigation

Nassau County police are investigating multiple vehicle crashes in Levittown that occurred Sunday afternoon where five people suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

Police were dispatched to Gardiners Avenue and North Jerusalem Avenue shortly before 3 p.m., a Nassau County police spokesman said.

Stephen Grippi, chief of the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, said the five patients, three of whom were minors, were taken to the hospital.
