Detectives are seeking information concerning the "suspicious disappearance" of a North Patchogue woman who has been missing for two weeks.

"We've been looking for her for a while," said Det. Sgt. Mark Pulaski of the Fugitive/Missing Persons unit, but police have no idea what might have happened. "The family's offered $1,000 reward, and have printed up fliers."

Jennifer Papain, 26 of Harper Street, was last seen March 24, when she drove with a male friend to Bay Shore Road in Bay Shore, police said. Papain got out of the vehicle about 5:30 p.m., leaving the friend behind and never returned, police said.

"There wasn't any disputes or anything like that," Pulaski said. "It wasn't that she had an altercation in the car or anything. She just didn't come back."

Papain is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair, police said. She was wearing gray sweatpants, white sneakers and a white T-shirt when she left the vehicle, police said.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact Missing Persons at 631-852-6040.
