Cops seek 2 in $5G Banana Republic theft

A robbery at a Banana Republic in Huntington resulted in the theft of about $5,000 in goods. (Nov. 9, 2009)
Two people selected more than $5,000 worth of merchandise at a Banana Republic store in Huntington and fled without paying for it, police said.
Now, Suffolk County police are looking for them and asking the public for help.
The robbery took place about 3 p.m. Nov. 9. The pair picked out the goods and walked out of the store before they could be stopped.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
