Cops: Victim had no cash so robber stole iPod
A robbery target at a Nassau County parking lot had no money to hand over, so the robber reached in the victim's car window and stole his handheld computer, police said.
The 45-year-old male victim was sitting his car in a Roosevelt Field parking lot about 1:30 p.m. Sunday when a man approached him and demanded money, Nassau County police said.
When the victim said he had no money, the thief reached in and grabbed the man's iPod touch, and fled on foot, police said. The thief was described as male who had his face partially covered and was wearing an orange shirt.
Detectives asked anyone with information on the crime to call 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
