One pedestrian was killed, another seriously injured, and a cyclist and a driver were seriously injured in four separate crashes throughout Long Island Wednesday, police said.

Around 7:28 a.m. in Cold Spring Harbor, a 76-year-old woman was driving a 2023 Lincoln north on Harbor Road near Stillwell Lane when she struck a 24-year-old man crossing the road.

The pedestrian, from Pennsylvania, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Suffolk County police said.

The driver of the Lincoln, from Plainview, was taken to Huntington Hospital for evaluation.

The Lincoln was impounded for a safety check.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about that crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.

Later, in Nassau County, a 95-year-old Great Neck woman was struck at about 3:15 p.m. by a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling westbound on Grace Avenue at the intersection of Park Place in Great Neck Plaza.

The woman suffered severe trauma and was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Nassau County police said. She was later identified by police as Joyanna Marx.

The 37-year-old driver of the Dodge stayed at the scene and no other injuries were reported.

About an hour later in Setauket, a 79-year-old man was driving a 2015 Subaru Forester south on Laura Lane around 4:10 p.m. when he collided with a 2019 Toyota RAV 4 traveling west on Lower Sheep Pasture Road.

The man, from Setauket, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Suffolk County police said. The 33-year-old driver of the Toyota, also from Setauket, and an adult passenger of the Subaru were taken to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about that collision to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Later Wednesday, around 11:06 p.m., a 28-year-old bicyclist was operating a Varun electric bike south across Brookfield Avenue in Center Moriches when he was struck by a 2016 Toyota sedan traveling west on Frowein Road.

The bicyclist, from Center Moriches, was taken by police helicopter to Stony Brook University for treatment of serious injuries, Suffolk police said.

The 28-year-old driver of the Toyota, from Mastic, was not injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
