Driver critically hurt in 7-car crash on Robert Moses Causeway, State Police say
A seven-car collision on the main span of the northbound Robert Moses Causeway bridge left a 19-year-old driver hospitalized in critical condition, State Police said Thursday.
Police said the multivehicle crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday. The injured driver, identified only as a 19-year-old man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where police said he was in critical condition with undisclosed injuries.
Police said there were no other reported serious injuries.
The cause of the multivehicle crash remains under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 631-756-3300.
