A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Plainview left one of the drivers, a 17-year-old boy, hospitalized in critical condition, Nassau County police said.
The teenager was driving a 1998 Toyota Corolla north on Route 135 at 4:12 p.m. when the vehicle collided with a 2013 Range Rover heading in the same direction, police said in a news release. The driver of the Range Rover, a 26-year-old woman, remained at the scene and refused medical treatment, according to police.
A police helicopter took the teenager to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition late Tuesday.
Police did immediately release the drivers' identities.
The crash investigation is ongoing, police said.
