2 arrested for prostitution in Bethpage
Two California residents were arrested in Bethpage Friday night on prostitution charges following an undercover sting operation run by Nassau County police.
Detectives said that Desiree Will, 22 of San Jose, Calif., offered an undercover detective sex for money while inside a Bethpage motel. Upon her arrest, police found what appeared to be marijuana in her possession.
She was charged with prostitution and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said Tyrone Riddick, 31, also from San Jose, acted as her pimp and advertised Will's services on an online forum that allows the posting of adult content.
Riddick was charged with promoting prostitution in the fourth-degree, police said.
Both will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
