2 attackers beat man at Freeport bus stop, Nassau police say
A 62-year-old man was attacked and robbed Sunday morning in Freeport, Nassau police said.
Police are looking for the attacker.
Police said the incident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. when the victim was waiting for a bus at North Main Street and Independence Avenue. He was approached by two men riding bicycles.
The suspects punched the victim in the face several times and took his wallet before fleeing to the north on North Main Street, police said. The victim suffered cuts to his face and mouth, police said.
Police said they didn’t have complete descriptions of the suspects.
