Two Roosevelt men beat another man and stole his bicycle and wallet Tuesday night, police said.

The two men approached the victim, 27, about 8:40 p.m. as he rode his Huffy bicycle in front of the 100 block of Allers Boulevard in Roosevelt, Nassau County police said.

Both men punched the victim in the head and one of them, Jose Garcia, 20, of Park Avenue, took his wallet with an undetermined amount of money and fled on the victim’s bicycle, police said.

The other robber, Milton Santa Maria-Garcia, 19, of Park Avenue, ran away on foot, police said.

Both men were arrested later on Lakewood Avenue and charged with second-degree robbery, police said.

Jose Garcia was also charged with criminal possession of stolen property, the bicycle, which was recovered, police said.

They were awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead.
