2 sought in robbery on W. Hempstead street
Police are still searching for two armed robbers they said stole cash and personal items from two other men on a West Hempstead street last week.
One of the robbers wore a ski mask, the other a hooded New York Rangers sweatshirt, Nassau County police said.
The incident took place just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 28 near the rear of a building on Hempstead Turnpike at Poplar Street, police said. After the robbery, police said the duo fled in a silver-colored four-door sedan. The car may have been a Toyota.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
