4 sought in Roosevelt home invasion, police say
Nassau County police are searching for four males who pulled off a home invasion Jan. 12, 2015 in Roosevelt, firing off a shot during the robbery.
According to detectives, the suspects entered through the rear door of the Washington Avenue home, at about 1:30 a.m.
One of the men, armed with a gun, ordered the six family members present into one room, police said. A second man then entered the bedroom of a seventh family member, 34, and began stuffing things from the room into a black garbage bag, police said.
The suspect with the gun and another armed with a kitchen knife confronted the 34-year-old victim in his bedroom, where one of the suspects fired a shot into the ceiling.
The four men fled in a dark-colored sedan after taking a PlayStation 4, an iPad, laptop, speakers and other goods, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Police urge anyone with information about the home robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
