Cops probe robbery of North Bellmore 7-Eleven
Police are investigating an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in North Bellmore early Wednesday during which an unknown amount of cash was taken.
There were no injuries, Nassau County police said.
According to detectives, the masked male robber entered the Jerusalem Avenue store at about 3 a.m. and pointed a handgun at the 25-year-old male clerk and demanded cash.
The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue, police said.
The suspect is described as in his 20s and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored bandanna over his face, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers with a white stripe.
Detectives asked anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
