Nassau police have charged an Amityville man they said was caught breaking into cars in Seaford early Monday and stealing valuables items inside the vehicles.
Keval Gray, 25, of Brandon Road, is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petty larceny in connection with thefts that took place at about 3 a.m. at the rear of a home on Waverly Road, police and court records show.
Police responded to the area to investigate a report of three men who were opening unlocked car doors.
Officers located Gray and recovered cash and credit cards from the scene but the two other suspects have not been found, police said.
Gray was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead and is being held on $5,000 cash and bond. His attorney could not be reached for comment. He is due back in court on Wednesday.
