A Valley Stream man has been arrested in Virginia on charges of assaulting a man, police said.
Anthony Manno, 20, was arrested and charged under Virginia law with "Shooting, stabbing, etc., with intent to maim, kill," a felony, following an altercation, the Arlington County Police Department said in a crime report. Arlington police clarified the initial charge on Wednesday saying they had made a clerical error when they reported the initial charge on Tuesday.
Around 12:40 a.m. on Jan. 3, officers responded to a business on N. Glebe Road where they said Manno allegedly entered an "employee-only area of the business" and "assaulted" an employee, police said.
The type of business was not immediately known based on information in the crime report.
Manno was scheduled for arraignment Monday; he is scheduled to return to court for a bond hearing Tuesday and a preliminary hearing on Feb. 9., according to online Arlington General District Court records.
Joseph King, the attorney identified as representing Manno in court records, did not immediately return a telephone message left at his office late Monday.
