A Freeport man was arrested and charged Friday with selling drugs in front of a Hempstead elementary school, police said.

Maurice Lattimore, 31, of 116 West Merrick Rd., Apt. 4C, was charged with selling crack and cocaine in front of the Jackson Annex School, a first- through third-grade school, at 380 Jackson St., Nassau police said.

Lattimore was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead, on charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance in or near school grounds, criminal sale of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
