Arrests made in New Cassel, Hicksville robberies, Nassau cops say

Two New Cassel men have been charged with the 2015 robbery of a food deliveryman, and one of them has also been charged in two other robberies the same year, Nassau County in 2015, Nassau County police said Thursday.
Kevin Franklin, 20, of Broadway, and Dwight McCullough, 20, of Catherine Street, were formally placed under arrest at the upstate Washington Correctional Facility, where they are currently incarcerated, police said.
Police did not say what led them to the two men.
Both will be charged with robbing a man delivering Chinese food to an address on the 800 block of Railroad Avenue in New Cassel on July 16, 2015, police said.
Franklin will also be charged with robbing a taxi driver in New Cassel on May 27, 2015, and robbing a man delivering food in Hicksville on June 25, 2015, police said.
Both men were awaiting arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
Online state prison records show Franklin is serving a 2-year term for attempted robbery in the second degree and McCullough is serving a term of 3 years and 6 months for attempted robbery in the first degree.
