An arrow that flew by a school employee's head in Wantagh as she was walking into work Monday morning was shot by a neighbor who had been practicing archery in his back yard, Nassau police said.
The incident occurred around 11:35 a.m. The employee, who works at the Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy Center on North Jerusalem Road, was not hurt, police said.
Officers searched the area by the school, which is for developmentally disabled individuals, and arrested Thomas Albanese, 56, police said.
