A Baldwin childcare center employee faces sexual abuse charges after she allegedly inappropriately touched two boys last month, Nassau County police said.
According to an investigation, Asia Oliver, 27, of Hempstead, inappropriately touched the children on July 1 at Learn and Play Center at 2163 Grand Ave., where she was employed.
Oliver was arrested on Thursday without incident and was charged with first-degree and second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
She will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a similar incident should contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022. All callers will remain anonymous.
When Newsday called the daycare center on Friday, an employee who asked for anonymity said Oliver no longer works at the business.
Learn and Play Center accommodates children ages 5 through 12 and provides before and after school programming for school-age children, its website says..
