Two armed men pushed their way into a home in Baldwin late Monday night, fighting with the 29-year-old victim and stealing his wallet, credit cards and identification card before fleeing.

The robbery occurred just before 11 p.m. on Fargo Street.

Nassau County police said the victim, whose identity was not released, suffered contusions and abrasions to his head. He refused medical attention.

There were no other injuries.

Police said the robbery began when the two suspects knocked on a back door at the home, then pushed their way in.

After fleeing, police said, the suspects got into a waiting vehicle, described as a dark-colored four-door sedan. Police said the car turned onto westbound Seaman Avenue, then fled north on Grand Avenue.

Police said the suspects were both in their 20s and wore black winter hats, black masks, black jackets and jeans. No other description was available.

Anyone with information asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
