Man hurt after gunshots fired outside his home, police say

A man returning to his Baldwin home was shot just before he got inside Monday night, Nassau police said.
He was injured in the leg and buttocks when he was shot about 8:45 p.m. in front of his Derby Road home, near Devonshire Road, police said. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Detectives were looking into the motive for the shooting, and police said other details were not immediately available.
No arrests had been made.
