Suffolk County Police are investigating a hit and run in Bay Shore that injured a jogger Wednesday.

Police said at about 5:10 p.m. an unidentified man was jogging eastbound on Montauk Highway when he was struck by a vehicle.

Police said the vehicle was also traveling eastbound when it veered onto the shoulder and hit the man. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, police said.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
