Cops are hoping a coffee-maker buzz will turn into a coffee-maker bust, releasing a surveillance photo of a man they said stole two high-end espresso / cappuccino makers worth a hefty $7,000 earlier this year from a Bed, Bath & Beyond.
The thefts occurred at the home furnishings store on Route 110 in South Huntington at about 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 29.
Suffolk County police are now asking the public for help in identifying the suspect and are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Police said the man stole two DeLonghi Prima Donna machines, each valued at about $3,500.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
