Nassau police have charged a Bellmore man with attempted murder in a stabbing Wednesday morning that left a relative in critical condition.
Seventh Squad detectives said Dimitri Louros, 21, stabbed his 55-year-old relative in the chest with a kitchen knife about 6:20 a.m. at their Bedell Street home. The victim, whose name police were withholding, was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police said the stabbing was the result of a domestic dispute.
Louros was held at police headquarters in Mineola overnight.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
