Suffolk detectives are searching for a man they said robbed an East Farmingdale bank Tuesday afternoon.

Pattern Crime Unit detectives said a man entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 1033 Rte. 109 and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man left the bank.

The suspect was described as about 6 feet tall with a medium build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and dark pants.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the incident to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
