Nassau detectives are investigating the robbery of a 55-year-old woman who was approached by a man on a bike who grabbed the victim and stole her cellphone in Freeport early Monday.

First Squad detectives said the victim was waiting for ride while standing on the corner of North Brookside Avenue and West Forest Avenue at 6:28 a.m., when the bicyclist rode up, grabbed her from behind and demanded her iPhone.

She complied and the suspect rode off, traveling east on Maryland Avenue, police said. The woman was not injured.
