A Queens man has been charged with stealing items from parked cars in Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.
Authorities said that Bionick Pierre, 20, entered two cars parked on East Argyle Street on Sunday shortly before 4:30 a.m. Police said they were responding to a 911 call when they saw Pierre running away. Pierre, of 145-86 176th St. in Queens, then climbed over a fence, and led police on a brief chase before he was caught, police said.
Police said they recovered an iPhone, iPod, flashlights, a silver chain and a change purse from Pierre. Police said that in addition to what he stole Sunday, Pierre took money and two laptop computers from a black Infiniti parked on the street on Nov. 27.
Pierre has been charged with fourth-degree larceny and four counts of petty larceny. He faces arraignment Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
