Two Roosevelt men — brothers who are members of the Bloods street gang — were sentenced to state prison Friday for the gunpoint robbery of a Uniondale supermarket, prosecutors said.

Devance Broyles, 28, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Terrell Broyles, 26, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said in a news release.

She said the sentences, which each include 5 years of post-release supervision, were imposed in Nassau County Court by Court of Claims Judge Philip Grella.

The pair robbed the store at 4:50 p.m. on July 25, 2014, stealing a money pouch containing $1,200 in cash and pistol-whipping the woman who owned the store, Singas said.

The brothers were later tracked down by police, who lifted fingerprints from a bag of bread one brother had been holding as he approached the counter, Singas said.
