Nassau County police are looking for a knife-wielding man who robbed a store Sunday night in Lynbrook.

Major Case Bureau detectives said the suspect, armed with a knife, entered the Blossoms Corner, a convenience and grocery store at 459 Merrick Rd., at about 9:15 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect removed an unspecified amount of cash from the register and then ran off west on Merrick Road, police said.

No customers were inside the store at the time of the robbery, and the clerk was not injured, police said.

The subject is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wore a hooded gray sweat jacket with a black vest, black mask and gloves, police said.

Anyone with more information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
