Police responded to an attempted burglary at a motorcycle dealership in Riverhead overnight Friday into Saturday, according to a police news release.

The perpetrator or perpetrators cut a storage container lock in the parking lot of Honda of Riverhead on Pulaski Street, and damaged the front door of the building in the apparent break-in attempt sometime overnight, according to the news release from the Riverhead Town Police Department.

The dealership owner on Saturday morning contacted police, who found nothing missing from the property, the release said.

Police asked anyone with information to call Riverhead detectives 631-727-4500, ext. 332.
