Brentwood woman hurt in stove explosion

A Brentwood woman was hospitalized with injuries Wednesday evening after a propane stove exploded in her home, authorities said.
The stove exploded about 5:30 p.m. at the Arthur Street residence, according to the Suffolk County Police.
The victim, who was not named by the police, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-lifethreatening injuries.
Suffolk County arson detectives and the Town of Islip fire marshal are investigating the explosion.
