A Middle Island man was arrested after crashing his car into a Bay Shore home on Thursday, police said.

Kai Carpenter, 26, lost control of the 2009 Infiniti he was driving at 9 p.m., Suffolk police said Saturday in a statement.

He now faces multiple charges: reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the police.

Though no one was injured, the Town of Islip building inspector surveyed the home’s damage, and the police investigation has yet to conclude, they said.
