A Lawrence man was arrested Sunday after he drew swastikas in front of two homes in Cedarhurst two weeks ago, Nassau County police said.

Carlos Rivera, 17, of Central Avenue, was walking down Oxford Road on March 7 when he found a piece of chalk on the ground and drew the swastikas in front of two houses, according to police.

“A subsequent investigation by detectives led to the arrest of Rivera,” at his home Sunday night, police said Monday in a news release. Police did not disclose any motive or how they found the suspect.

Rivera was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated harassment, police said.

He was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear April 13 in First District Court in Hempstead.
