More than 1,000 pills believed to be Xanax, as well as marijuana and two guns were seized from a Cedarhurst man trying to sell some pills, Nassau police said Wednesday.

Brian P. Napolitano, 19, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after trying to sell 100 pills of what appears to be Xanax on a street a block from his Livingston Place home, police said. He had another 12 white pills believed to be Xanax and also benzodiazepine, a tranquilizer, authorities said.

Napolitano agreed to a search of his bedroom, where investigators found 1,075 Xanax pills, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, concentrated cannabis, a loaded .22-caliber revolver and an unloaded 9-mm handgun, police said.

He was remanded to jail Wednesday after arraignment on five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one of criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of criminal possession of a firearm.

His attorney declined to comment.
