A masked gunman robbed a Cedarhurst gas station Thursday, Nassau County police said.

The gunman, wearing a black neoprene mask that covered the bottom of his face, demanded money from the clerk at the Sunoco station at 360 Rockaway Tpke. at about 8:50 p.m., police said.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled north toward Rugby Road, according to a news release.

The clerk, who was not injured, said the gunman was about 30 years old, 5-foot-10 and wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and blue latex gloves.
