Center Moriches man arrested, charged in multiple burglaries, police say

A Center Moriches man faces multiple charges in connection with several burglaries, beginning in December, Suffolk police said.
Aubrey Hill, 51, was arrested at his home Saturday, and charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and one of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Hill allegedly entered a residence on Wading River Road in Center Moriches, and stole a backpack and a tablet at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, according to police.
Further investigation determined that Hill also burglarized a residence on Clinton Street in Center Moriches between Friday and Saturday, and a residence on Neville Street in Center Moriches on Jan. 14.
According to police, Hill also pawned items stolen from residences on Chichester Avenue in Center Moriches on Jan. 14 and Railroad Avenue in Manorville on Dec. 17.
Hill was scheduled for arraignment Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
An attorney for Hill could not immediately be reached for comment.
