Centereach liquor store robbed, Suffolk police say

Sixth Squad detectives are searching for an armed man who robbed a liquor store Wednesday night in Centereach.
Suffolk County police said the robbery occurred at Simply Wine & Liquors on Pond Path at about 7:30 p.m.
The suspect entered the store, flashed a handgun and demanded cash, police said. Police said the store employee complied — and the robber fled the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
