A West Islip man is facing arraignment on child porn charges after police investigators seized his cellphone and other electronic devices while executing a search warrant earlier this month.
Steven Enderley, 35, surrendered Friday at the Suffolk County Police Third Precinct in Bay Shore and was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and with promoting a sexual performance by a child, police said in a news release. He will be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.
It was not immediately clear if Enderley is represented by counsel.
Police said a tip to the internet Crimes Against Children hotline launched an investigation by Digital Forensics Unit detectives that led to the execution of a search warrant at Enderley's home on April 14. During that search, police seized the cellphone and other devices.
Additional information was not immediately available on Friday.
