A Copiague man was arrested on drugs and guns charges after he pointed a gun at police officers, according to a Suffolk County police news release.

Police served a search warrant Friday at 6 a.m. at a home on 44th Street where Cory Tyson, 40, allegedly pointed a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol at officers as they searched the home. He refused to drop the gun several times, police said.

Tyson eventually agreed to surrender to go into custody. Police found three 9 mm handguns, a 9 mm polymer P80 ghost gun, three assault weapons, two shotguns and six high-capacity ammunition devices. Police also seized 20 grams of cocaine and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Police charged Tyson with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of narcotics, nine counts of criminal possession of a weapon and menacing a police officer with a weapon.

Tyson was set to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Central Islip.
