Copiague man charged in bank robbery in Massapequa, cops say
Shabril Maxwell, 21, of Copiague, who was already incarcerated at the Nassau County jail on an unrelated charge, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, and charged with robbery and grand larceny in connection with a January bank robbery, Nassau County police said.

Police arrested Shabril Maxwell, 21, of Bethpage Road, who was already incarcerated at the Nassau County jail on an unrelated charge. Maxwell was charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Maxwell and a woman entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa about 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, police said. The two passed a note to a teller and verbally demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.
The nine employees and two customers present during the robbery were not injured.
Maxwell was arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said. Arraignment and attorney information was not available Wednesday night.
